This is the reality: if you want to be successful in the article marketing arena, you must understand that in the end, it’s all a numbers game. Multiply your efforts, and you will multiply your income.

Here’s how you get started:

1. Set a goal and stick to it! Before you write a single word, get clear on what your goals are for this endeavor. How many articles can you commit to writing every day? I commit to 5, and always shoot for 10, Monday through Friday, week in and week out. You can compete in even the most saturated niches if you are willing to put in the time and make the effort.

2. Outsource! You can only do so much by yourself. As your business and your income grows, the amount of work it takes to cover all of your marketing bases (outside of article marketing) will quickly become overwhelming. Determine the parts of your business that are vital for to remain actively involved in. Outsource everything else.

3. Get those conversion rates up! This is what it’s all about anyway, right? An interested, engaged reader is far more likely to click on the link in your resource box and take action at your website. Show your knowledge and help the reader, but leave them wanting more.

In the end, none of this matters if you are not able to turn readers into prospects, and prospects into customers. Maximize your marketing efforts and make them stand out by following these few, simple rules.

It seems that tips about article marketing are everywhere and easy to find, but how do you separate the wheat from the chaff?

If you want to take your efforts to an entirely new level, it really isn’t that difficult. Here is what you do:

1. Be informative! Keep the filler and fluff to a minimum. Better yet – eliminate it entirely. Your primary purpose here is to get the attention of your reader, teach them something they didn’t know, and build rapport with them. Offering useful information that shows your authority will leave them wanting to read more.

2. Write more! You are going to get anywhere by simply producing a handful of articles per month. I consistently write 5-10 articles per day, 5 days a week. This consistently allows me to add 100-200 articles per month to my marketing efforts. Make the committment.

3. Get the most out of that resource box! Test, test, test. Figure out what combination of words and links gets you the most action from your visitors. Some niches respond to longer info, others respond to a very short call to action. It’s up to you to figure out what is best for your niche.

4. Make reading your article fun! Write short sentences. Keep paragraphs brief. Make sure there is plenty of white space around your writing. Make your content engaging. At the end of the day, your goal is to keep the reader interested and intrigued enough to rea dto the end of the article and click on your “call to action” link.

article-writing-figureA number of people, particularly those who are just getting their start on the internet, can often be pretty cynical about using article marketing to earn money online.

To them, it seems impossible that you could just simply write an article about something you know a little about, publish it, and make money.

If you happen to be one of the people who believes this way, I can sure you that even though this might be the fast way to wealth and riches, it is a very useful method for bringing potential customers to your business so you can get them to your website, or add them to you mailing list.

Here are three simply ways that you can earn an income from your article marketing ventures…

1. Be sure to pick your market/niche/subject carefully. Remember that your primary aim is getting your articles out to a wider audience. Get your readers attention by selecting topics they they would likely search for, that tightly relate to whatever you may be selling.

2. Make the item(s) you are selling a “must have”. Often times, you have to explain to people exactly “why” they need what you are offering. Be sure to talk about a problem they may be having, and let them know that you can solve that problem for them.

3. Help others! It seems obvious, but imparting what you know to people who choose to read your article is vital to building a connection with them. In this way, a reader grows to know and trust you. It becomes more likely that they will want to read other material you have written, which can eventually lead them to your website.

Have you ever thought about why so many people on the internet choose to try and make money with article marketing? There’s a much bigger reason than the low-to-no cost of entry.
It’s because it’s profitable!
Think about it. Where else can you:
1. Create Traffic
2. Develop Authority
3. Build backlinks
4. Build a mailing list
…with one single tactic or approach?
But not all articles are created equal. You MUST do certain things to maximize your efforts. Here are 4 of the biggest ones:
1. Write eye-grabbing titles. Yes, using keywords is important, but never focus on them to the point of losing the ability to write a headline that will grab your readers attention and never let it go. Make your title longer than average. Be controversial. Do whatever it takes to get yourself noticed and your article opened.
2. Tell them what you’re going to tell them. People are busy. They don’t always have time to hang on your every word. Provide a summary in the first paragraph that briefly explains what the article is all about. Just like the title, this is another way to be compelling and drawa them in.
3. Keyword selection. Without choosing the proper keywords, your article will have an extremely short shelf life.  Pick keywords that your readers are searching for, while being aware of the level of competition for them.
4. The content itself. Make sure your articles actually make sense! I can’t believe how much garbage there is out there. Be entertaining and informative. Ideally, leave your reading wanting more. Use your content to force them to read all the way to the bottom of the page and eagerly click your link.
